Hi there 👋 welcome to my binary space on the internet.

I am an offensive security engineer. I enjoy breaking software in creative ways and writing security tooling around it shortly after. As an engineer, I try to never do the same thing twice which tends to result in agents and automations. When writing code, I often default to Rust, and as a callback to my test engineer roots, reach for test-driven development. Though, most of the time I believe that the language, framework, and design patterns must primarily fit the needs of the project or exploit. I am a pragmatist.

In the past few years, I have been interested in security research; specifically dealing with parsers and LangSec. I can be found in the Boston area and participate in local cybersecurity clubs/ attend security conferences. You can find me at the local BSides conference or OWASP chapter meeting. I have previously competed as part of UCF's CCDC team 🛡️ and CTF team, Knightsec 🗡️.

I enjoy language learning, whether it's natural languages or formal languages. I can natively speak English, Turkish, and conversational German. I work in a geographically dispersed team and prefer plural environments. I like experimenting with languages which are newer to me but have really good developer experience or work exceedingly well in particular domains like Zig, Swift, and Gleam. I ponder about their underpinnings and PL theory of it all.

Most importantly, as sappy as it is, I believe in being kind to everyone by principle and humanity's overall propensity to be good. As a consequence, I have more patience towards humans than machines.

This blog is built in Astro. This is a digital garden, I plan on posting relevant writeups and it is a work-in-progress by nature. Most of what I write is not meant to be prescriptive and I would warn against taking anyone's content as such anyway.
